Overview
of Module:
This module will help students explore the current topic of managing our
municipal solid waste (MSW).
By addressing the connections between products purchased, the use of
natural resources, and waste generated, students learn how their choices can
positively impact the environment and their communities.
The module challenges students in critical thinking and decision-making
in all core disciplines (math, science, language arts, and social studies).
The entire module may be used as an entire unit, or teachers may choose
individual lessons (or parts of lessons) which best suit their curriculum.
